Sometimes things just don't work out.
In my case, months of uncooperative weather has limited the number of times I have been able to use my telescope.
Soooooooo, when the stars are blocked an amateur astronomer has to make the best of it and think in terms of glass-half-full.
Tonite it was cloudy and rainy, but we did have a great rainbow provided by our star "Sol' (Picture).
Eventually, there will be Clear Skies!

Who the heck is that in the first comment?
That's pretty cool that we saw it at the same time...Peter was cursing the trees in front of our house. He was all over the yard trying to get a good shot.
You finally got a rainbow! Yeeha! And a very nice one at that.
hmm don't see any ponies or care bears in yours either. I though it might have been the trees or the angle that covered them up...
Beautiful shot. Since I am a photo freak lately, I am going to be secretly happy the weather is misbehaving for you. Don't hold that against me. Please?
Beautiful photo.
Beautiful rainbow!
Get to that house quickly! There's a pot of gold there!
(I'm really hoping you have that 'pot of gold at the end of a rainbow' myth in America or I just looked like a crazy Englishwoman!)
nice rainbow.... the promise of clear skies to come.
